Bio based packaging film
Bio based films are build for a certain percentage of renewable raw materials. Renewable sources are sources that are inexhaustible because they are made on the basis of certain crops. Biological film do not have to be degradable. Degradability means that the film is transformed into a stable end product like compost by micro organism within a certain lapse of time.
LDPE BIO-4X
Coextruded bio-based film. This film is produced on the basis of renewable raw materials. The BIO-4X is a 4 star bio-based material. It's the highest norm for bio-based films and means that more than 80% of the material is made of renewable materials. This bio-based film is not degradable.
The film has the same look and feel as a synthetic LDPE film and can be used on the same packaging machines. This is also the innovative charactar of the film, the area where biological films had bad optical and mecanical properties is over. The LDPE Bio-4X looks as good as a synthetic LDPE film and has moreover exhaustive mecanical properties !
